HOÀNG CẦM - Cuộc đời nhà thơ ‘Trời bắt tội tôi yêu sớm’

Hope And Renewal

Hope And Renewal

The pouring rain.

And the gloomy sky has awakened.

This place evokes memories,

Echoes of our beloved ones.

O God! How can I hold back?

Tears begin to fall,

As the grey sky seems to empathize,

Mourning for our loved ones.

But tomorrow, the sun will shine,

And the sky will open wide.

The doors will be welcoming.

A soul is like a star,

Flickering with a small spark,

Wishing to be reborn.

From ashes, we will rise,

Beautiful and radiant,

With new bodies and new spirits.

Just see you later—

Never a "goodbye."

Reviving Dried Squids

Reviving Dried Squids

The first time I tried reviving dried squids was quite an experience. I soaked them in water with 1 tbsp of baking soda for one day in the refrigerator, followed by another day in clean water.  After this process, the squids became fresh again. They had a tender texture similar to fresh squids and were three times thicker than the dried versions.

Some people soaked with beer, but I don't have beer to soak!

Typically, the only method I had seen for preparing dried squids was grilling, which makes them very chewy. However, this method is much better because it makes the squids tenderize and reduces the fishy smell. I would definitely do this again.
